Frequently Asked Questions

What grades are you enrolling for the 2024–25 school year?

While we will grow to be a K-8, for the 2024-2025 school year we will have grades K-4 in our Primary Academy and 5-7th grade for our Middle Academy. We are accepting applications for all our current grades.

What about siblings who are not in K–7? Will you accept them?

We will grow to be a K-8, however, for the 2024-2025 school year, we will only have grades K-4 and 5-7 . We are accepting applications for all of these grades. We understand how challenging it can be that we do not have the full K-8 grade span yet, and therefore are not able to enroll siblings who are entering 8th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.

Who is eligible to attend Resurgence Hall?

Primary Academy (grades K-4) - Students zoned for Atlanta Public Schools or Fulton County Schools are eligible to attend Resurgence Hall.

When are applications accepted?

Our Open Enrollment period is from October 12, 2023 12 AM EST to February 9, 2024 5 PM EST.

Our open enrollment window is designed to give all interested parents equal opportunity for their child to attend Resurgence Hall by submitting a completed application. Following the close of open enrollment, if the number of applications exceeds the number of open seats, a random selection lottery determines acceptance. If the number of applications does not exceed the number of open seats, all applicants are accepted.

Is anyone given preference in the enrollment process and lottery?

Yes. Students who are siblings of currently enrolled students at Resurgence Hall are given preference.

When is the lottery and do I have to attend?

The lottery for Resurgence Hall is Monday, February 19th, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Resurgence Hall. We are located at 1706 Washington Rd. East Point, GA 30344. Please note, there is no requirement for applicants and/or their representatives to be present for the lottery to receive an enrollment offer. All lottery results are released to families in the SchoolMint portal.

How will I learn the results of the lottery and know if my student has been granted a seat?

Results of the lottery, and waitlists by grade, will be available in each applicant’s online SchoolMint account immediately following the lottery event on February 19th, 2024 no later than 5 PM. It is the family’s responsibility to ensure that Resurgence Hall has the most updated contact information (phone, mailing address and email address) in SchoolMint for notification purposes.

What happens once I am notified that my child(ren) has been granted an available seat?

All students who have been granted an available seat must complete all registration requirements by the registration deadline or their seat will be forfeited.

Will my student have to participate in the lottery each year?

No. Once officially enrolled, all Resurgence Hall students will remain enrolled for future years. We do require enrolled families to complete an intent to return form annually in February.
